How does LifeLock secure my personal information?
We know you have questions about how, internally, we keep your
information safe. After all, you’re giving us your Social Security number.

follows industry best practices to secure and protect personal
information. We conduct background checks on all of our employees,
including regular random drug testing. All of our facilities are built with
the latest biometric security access as well as state-of-the-art
surveillance and alarm systems. No data is stored onsite. No computers
anywhere outside of secure data centers have client information on

ourselves are going to keep your data safe just as thoroughly as we did

We check credit reports every 6 months to ensure that there is no
activity.
If a credit report does exist, we place fraud alerts on credit reports,
stating that this is a minor child and that no activity should occur.
We check for work history and any misuse of the Social Security
number.
We repeat this process regularly to ensure that all is well.

What a Fraud alert does...
It “alerts” anyone seeking to do something with your credit (like give
you a new credit card, increase credit lines, apply for insurance, leases,
cell phones, cars, houses…) that you are concerned that your Identity
may have been stolen.
The bank (cellphone or insurance company, landlord, etc…) is then
supposed to take extra care to identify who you are and that the
transaction is valid. They normally do this by calling you at the phone
number you tell us to give them.
